S-Bahn trains, trams and buses run until 4am - every half hour on most lines. In the city of Zurich, trams and buses run on numerous lines every 15 minutes or more. The real-time timetables can be found in the ZVV app.

 

Immediately after the fireworks, the S-Bahn and trams are very busy. If you enjoy the atmosphere around the lake basin for a little longer after the fireworks, you are more likely to find a seat on the S-Bahn or tram.

 

We recommended you buy a ZVV 24h ticket or a ZVV 9 am day pass to avoid waiting times on the return journey.
